Del media mix a la convergencia global: evolución de la comunicación del cine de animación japonés

Se estudia la evolución de la comunicación del cine de animación japonés, atendiendo al tránsito desde el media mix hacia un ecosistema global multiplataforma. Su objetivo principal consiste en explicar, desde una perspectiva histórica, cómo la lógica industrial del media mix preparó el terreno para la configuración actual del anime cinematográfico como objeto de comunicación expandida. De forma complementaria, el artículo analiza cómo esa transformación ha reordenado la circulación internacional, la promoción, la monetización y la visibilidad pública del anime, con especial atención al caso de Makoto Shinkai como síntesis de una nueva fase. La metodología adopta un enfoque cualitativo e interpretativo basado en la revisión bibliográfica. Los resultados muestran que el anime ha pasado de integrarse en circuitos nacionales vinculados al manga, la televisión y el merchandising a ocupar una posición estratégica en una red internacional articulada por salas, plataformas de streaming, festivales, redes sociales y comunidades de fans. Como conclusión, el trabajo sostiene que el anime cinematográfico ha integrado la herencia del media mix en una nueva estructura de circulación global, definida por el peso de las plataformas, la expansión del mercado exterior y la intensificación de la visibilidad digital.
