Maternidad y dinámicas de cuidado en la trayectoria de investigadoras negras: indicadores preliminares de equidad

Resumen

La maternidad y las responsabilidades de cuidado representan desafíos significativos para las mujeres en la academia, especialmente para las investigadoras negras, cuyas trayectorias están moldeadas por intersecciones de género, raza y clase. Este artículo presenta indicadores preliminares para evaluar los impactos de la maternidad y las dinámicas de cuidado en las trayectorias académicas de estas investigadoras. El objetivo es desarrollar una herramienta inicial para analizar cómo estas responsabilidades influyen en la carrera, productividad y bienestar, con énfasis en las intersecciones entre género, raza y cuidados. La metodología incluye una revisión crítica de la bibliografía y la formulación de criterios exploratorios, agrupados en dos categorías: (i) indicadores de impacto de la maternidad y (ii) indicadores de dinámicas de cuidado. Estos indicadores resaltan los desafíos significativos para las investigadoras negras, a menudo pasados por alto en las políticas institucionales, subrayando la necesidad de entornos académicos más inclusivos y equitativos.
