Scientific research on digital journalism, a field consolidated in recent decades in the field of social sciences, provides results that should contribute to a better professional activity and that can help to clear up doubts that many professionals have when facing challenges in their day-to-day work. Despite the poor relationship between the profession and academia in the past, the result of a flood effect in the sector in the last decades of the last century and certain mutual reticence, there is no doubt that the challenges facing professionals in the second half of the third decade of the current millennium, driven by the massive intro-duction of artificial intelligence tools, suggest a better understanding that will be fruitful for both parties.References
