Abstract

The rise of digital native media, many of them hyperlocal, is a sustained trend of the last ten years. Many of these media have appeared due to the desire of the promoters to have their own voice on the network, although without a solid project to ensure their sustainability, which has led to successive changes in their business model. Based on the analysis of many of these media that were created in the second decade of the current millennium, within the framework of the results of two projects on digital native media, this essay includes some steps that should be considered before the launch of a digital native journalistic media in today's changing communication ecosystem.
