Abstract

The IVERES Project, promoted by Radio Televisión Española and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and which has as partners the universities Carlos III of Madrid, Granada and the Polytechnic of Catalonia, focuses on the creation of information verification products for texts, photographs and audio. Within the framework of this project, two focus groups were held with various senior and junior journalists to deepen their experiences with the use of Artificial Intelligence tools and, specifically, with the need for verification instruments to discern whether what is explained by the media is true. Among the results, the economic cost, the ease of use, and that professionals consider that the verification instruments will only be valid if the degree of certainty approaches 100% stand out.
