Representing open data with Wikidata Query Service

Abstract

Data representation is not limited only to static data sets, stored in files, it can also be done by directly accessing the databases that contain them. This requires the use of query languages that allow us to interpret and manage information effectively, facilitating its visual representation. The objective of this work is to present the query service of the knowledge base Wikidata, Wikidata Query Service, for the creation of data visualizations. All visualization options available in the Wikidata Query Service are explored, accompanied by example queries that introduce the implementation of these visualizations.
